World Health Day 2025: For Equitable Health From Birth

Par Hexa Physio

Hexa Physio wishes you an excellent World Health Day!

On April 7, 2025, the World Health Organization (WHO) is highlighting an essential theme:
“Good health from birth for a hopeful future”

This theme is particularly relevant to us, as we know how crucial the first years of life are for long-term physical and mental health. Despite advances in the healthcare system, equitable access to care remains a major challenge, especially for infants, children and families in vulnerable situations. Because we see it every day: the foundations of health are laid very early on – long before any symptoms appear.

Health: More Than a Personal Choice

World Health Day 2025 reminds us of a reality too often forgotten: being healthy doesn’t depend solely on our individual decisions.

It also depends on elements such as:

  • our birth environment,
  • our level of education,
  • our economic situation,
  • the quality of the support network around us,
  • and above all, our access to adequate and timely healthcare.

These determinants of health are present right here in Quebec, and their effects begin at birth.

Our Commitment

So at Hexa, we asked ourselves an important question: What can we, as an interdisciplinary clinic, do to make a concrete contribution to better overall health in Quebec?

Hexa’s vision is clear: to build a healthcare system that is local, preventive, collaborative and rooted in the real needs of our communities.

Here are our 5 commitments for 2025-2026:

1. Improve access to musculoskeletal health

Increase the availability of free consultations with a doctor specializing in musculoskeletal health and pain (sports medicine doctor, orthopedist, etc.) in our clinics.

2. Support community involvement

Actively encourage our teams to get involved in local projects with a social impact, and to put their expertise to work for the common good.

3. Continuously train our professionals in global health

Create more in-house training courses that integrate the notions of the social determinants of health, to equip our professionals to understand the issues that influence health beyond the symptoms.

4. Make health knowledge more accessible

Put in place more free educational content to enable everyone to better understand their bodies, pain, mental health, and treatment options.

5. Develop inclusive technological tools

Work to create concrete digital solutions to make access to care simpler, faster, and more equitable.

And This Is Just The Beginning

We also have a special project we deeply care about in the pipeline, which we will unveil later this year. It’s all part of our mission to promote accessible, proactive, and sustainable healthcare for all.

Because health is a right. And at Hexa Physio, we believe that every action – no matter how small – can have a real impact on the health of individuals and communities.

Happy World Health Day!
