Danielle Boivin

Occupational Therapist

Valleyfield

Danielle is an occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Ottawa in 2004. She has been in public practice for nearly 10 years in trauma (severe moderate traumatic brain injury, amputation, orthopedic injury, stroke…) so she’s well versed in the challenges of rehabilitation.

She has done emergency humanitarian aid, taught occupational therapy and physiotherapy at the Université de Sherbrooke, mentors occupational therapists regularly and founded an occupational therapy web magazine for 10 years.

Her training and interests give her the opportunity to participate in the rehabilitation of people suffering from neurological, musculoskeletal, affective (anxiety and mood disorders) or cognitive (disorganization, attentional or memory disorders…) issues.

She strongly believes that rehabilitation requires a clear understanding of one’s health condition, behavioral activation, strategic exposure to problematic situations, modification of lifestyle habits, sport and a preventive attitude to avoid relapse in the future! She provides practical support to help you get back to work and heal.

Danielle is particularly fond of running, which she has been doing since the age of 15, and functional training. She also practices meditation and travels extensively.
