The body adapts to the stress induced and thus improves its ability to cope with greater stress later on. However, too much stress or a drastic increase in training volume can lead to injuries such as tendinopathy.
In addition to tendinopathy, outdoor athletes are at risk of fractures, periostitis and ligament sprains. As outdoor surfaces are sometimes very uneven, it’s important to be extra careful to avoid injury.
