Preventive Healthcare

What is Preventive Healthcare?

Preventive health consists of ensuring that we are in good physical and mental shape before starting a new physical activity, or even continuing an activity we’ve been doing for a long time. Its goal is to minimize the risk of injury or illness and the complications that may arise when practicing a leisure activity. Preventive health is also used to ensure that certain physical conditions or illnesses are well controlled and stable so that it is safe to practice an activity or hobby.

The Roles of Our Sports Physicians

Our doctors are there for your injuries, but also to ensure your overall health while practicing the leisure activities that are important to you. Our sports medicine specialists are also qualified to ensure that you are in good physical health before resuming a long-standing activity or even trying a new one.

With an overall examination, a thorough questionnaire and blood tests as needed, we aim to minimize the risk of injury, illness or complications during your activities.

Before continuing your physical and leisure activities or even trying a new sport, it is important to be in good health or to have control over your illnesses. If, for example, you have chest pain, feel tightness in the chest, palpitations, difficulty breathing or any other symptoms that are new and uncomfortable, it is important to stop all sports and leisure activities immediately and consult a doctor as soon as possible, either through an emergency room or your doctor.

Don’t hesitate to make an appointment with our sports medicine physician for any medical concerns related to sports injuries or any sports-related health issues!
